Contig is a disc defrag program optimized with the sole objective of running the defrag process as fast as possible. This way the program centres on collocating the parts of each file as close together, physically, as possible on the hard drive, making access to them when we need them much quicker (global efficiancy increase).



Contig works under the command line, and doesn`t have its own interface. However, you can add one, using Power Defragmenter GUI. The program is able to defrag individual files, folders or the complete hard drive. As it works under the command line, you must know these parameters: contig [-v] [-a] [-q] [-s] [filename].
